RecommendedMy BGS is at sumner veterinary hospital now! Tyler is the person who checked her out and took her in! When I arrived the phone lines were busy and I seen him outside, I told him what was happening and he said “I will be right back with gloves, keep calling so we can get her checked in.” He came back in less than 2 minutes with gloves and a test to run! had to bring my cat in just now and they were so EXTREMELY kind and compassionate!! there was a really long wait but it was the emergency night shift so it was completely understandable!

My little bear had a respiratory crisis on Wednesday and no one could take him emergently except Sumner Vet. The staff there fought all day for our little man with LarPar. Dr. Nick Larson was patient and helped us make the devastating decision to say goodbye to our friend later that day. Thank you for your kindness and your care of our fur baby. Upon bringing my cats in for the night, one presented with obvious trauma. I immediately loaded him up in the truck and started calling vets. Sumner was a 10 hour wait but most vets were at capacity so I headed there anyways. We got to the vet, called to let them know I had arrived, and within minutes someone was out here to triage him. They took him in for X-rays and I had a phone call from the doctor within the hour. I highly recommend it here. They truly do care about animals and their well-being! I appreciate how personal and caring you had treated my boy. He almost lost his leg but with your staffs constant care to treat and clean his wounds over months and months and months we saved it. You guys always welcomed Duke in for his bandage changes like he was a celebrity he loved coming there even though it may had been painful for him you guys treated him so lovingly and it imprinted on him. Our cat had to have an emergency surgical procedure performed this morning! I was told at first it could be a 4-6hour wait time until they could look at my cat (which is common at vet hosp. Don’t know why people don’t know this. It’s just like a regular hospital) The staff worked so quickly and diligently with all their patients. We got there by 9am and home by noon. Our story, unfortunately, has a sad ending for our sweet pet but the staff at this vet hospital were phenomenal during it. COVID procedures have made their job tough and when they told us it was a 6-8 hour wait for the emergency hospital we were upset. However, when a tech came out to asses our pet she quickly saw the true seriousness of the situation and that our pet was in pain. I had an emergency injury with my golden retriever so we rushed to them from Spanaway as they were the only ones who were available to take him. They took my boy over night & did an amazing job. I was called by both night shift & day shift docs & techs each day he was there for updates on his condition & health. The wait time can be very long BUT they are wonderful. We had the most difficult choice to make assisting our dog with crossing the rainbow bridge and they were so supportive. The wood urn box was engraved with her name, we also received a clay paw imprint and locks of hair. I am forever greatful for thespecial attention they gave us during a very difficult time.
