Signed a contract June 2022 with a down payment. Original install was set for November 2022. It is February 3, 2023. They communicated that there were supply chain and work crew issuses. No install date is currently scheduled. Sun Badger has done a very poor job in communication with me. Send an email/call and it will be days before I get a message of some type in return. We contracted with Sun Badger Months ago. They showed up at the beginning of December 2022 and put the brackets for our solar panels on our roof. A couple of weeks later we received an email from executives at the company claiming shipping delays in getting the solar panels and that they overestimated their ability to fulfill some of their commitments in a timeframe that meets their standards. Contracted with Sun Badger in the fall and was told everything would be set up for install in Spring of 2023. Once the loan information and initial site visit was completed I have been unable to reach the company. Have tried emailing and calling multiple different parties for months but have yet to get a response. Starting to wonder if company is still in business as phone lines do not connect our the sales rep line is no longer in service. I afraid that we have been scammed. Paid over $53,000 for panels and batteries for a system that was supposed to be installed by the end of January 2023 at the latest. I realize there was a problem when ComEd notified us that the interconnection application had been withdrawn. Left a number emails and phone messages over 2 weeks before I was contacted. I am noticing a lot of reviews that are not all that positive. I would have provided a positive review but unfortunately cannot. I had no complaints about the sales or install process. However, all personal communication from company ceased once solar install completed in mid-December. The panels are basically art work at this point as they are not operational. I have been under contract with these folks since last April. Install date has been pushed back a few times, which I could understand. They set an install timeframe in fall for January, which I thought unrealistic due to normal January weather, so I got them to agree to take me out of the queue for the promise of setting a date certain in spring. I would not give this company even 1 star if that was possible. We were told the permits were done and that we were in the install queue and then all of a sudden we were back in the waiting phase. I tried asking why and was given a lame excuse and have had no luck with responses from them since. We received an email to sign the loan papers but haven't done it because we are concerned that we will be giving up money and no work will be done. Communication is awful. They have had our money for over a year now and we still don't have panels installed. We've had to call and email at every step to get someone to call us back. I resorted to a solar review website 2 months ago, that they ultimately responded to, but still no panels installed. We were told about a month ago that panels should be installed in the coming weeks, and now can't get anyone to return our calls/emails. Dreadful. Contracted two years ago and still don’t have a functioning system. Failed inspection two times. Now waiting for the third inspection, even though no work has been done since the last failed inspection. I truly wish I had never contracted with company. They have had 8k of my money for two full years while I am in limbo.
