I would recommend the facility with the caveat that, as a new location, they are experiencing growing pains finding experienced commuted workers. They are experiencing some turnover and are in the process of hiring. As with anything, you have to advocate for your family member to get the marketed level of care and services.
Friendly people, brand new facility. Excellent price for what you get. Rooms are large and bright. My loved one has been in two other facilities and Sunflower Springs at Indian Land is by far the best.
Communication skills need to be improved from staff to families. Better training of staff and less temp service. More staff for residents to prevent long wait times. Having food brought to room needs to be improved. They are last to be fed and sometimes don't get what is on the menu.
Sunflower is a good facility overall and certainly a good value. The staff are friendly and address concerns of residents and family members. Appears that the staff have a good attitude regarding care of the residents, it just appears that communication between staff is not up to snuff. The food is not even average. Some times the food is over cooked, burned and dry. There is never enough of servers and a shortage of personnel on weekends. The cleaning is excellent and the staff is good when they come to work as I stated before the price is excellent for this area so affordable
At the beginning very helpful if you have questions but Once you move in You can ask questions and they tell you they will get back with you But they never do ( they forget) They need to have you make an appointment if they are busy when you ask a question or if they don't know the answer right then Such as how will your love one get their medicine Or help with the billing or what does something mean on the billing They could have the front desk write down what you need and then make an appointment for you
