AAC at Sunrise House was a supportive environment for me to begin building a solid foundation for my recovery. Accommodations and Amenities were comfortable and acceptable. Staff was compassionate. At the time of my stay they were quite understaffed but that didn't change the care that staff available had.

As this my first, and hopefully only, stay in rehab I have nothing to compare it to. That being said, the staff seemed genuinely caring and interested in my recovery and the population of fellow patients was by and large a great group of folks who, like me, were genuinely here to begin recovery and wanted to be here. The medical staff was very accessible and really took the time to give me good care.
I was here for a detox program, the first time I had ever done this. As I was driving to the facility I didn't know what to expect. You hear horror stories about institutions where you're almost on lockdown. Not here. From the second I walked in I never felted judged or looked down upon at all. I couldn't believe how helpful and just nice everyone was. Doctors, nurses, and everyone else are all there to help you and make you better.
