I found the program and the counselors and Dr.s to be valuable to me. It was the medication line, the lack of heat, fresh towels and linens, building condition, lack of communication interdepartmentally, chaos between the upper administration and the community to be extremely poor and created a lot of anxiety. This too stood true for the insurance/discharge plans and dates. The Doctors and counselors and TA in detox were fabulous. This was the best situation for me during the worst period of my life.
Staff was very disorganized when handling new policies which caused distress among the community. Community areas are cleaned poorly with the least amount of effort. I only met once with my therapist out of the four weeks I was here. The community was great but I felt my recovery could have been severely affected if I was not motivated to stay here
The medical professionals, counselors and staff are all very committed to the success of the patients. The environment has been very beneficial to my recovery while staying focused on that as the main goal during my stay.
counselors and ta's are great. administartion is lacking coordination.
Sunrise House was not the best place but it was not the worst place neither. The information provided by the counslors and other staff members was very informative and helpful. This place provided me with a safe place to begin discovering about who I am without drugs and alcohol. I would definitely refer someone here, but the person has to be ready to take responsibility for there future and would have to be willing to be honest. I'm super grateful for this place and what I learned.
