It was a good place. Staff was very good. Friendly and nice place. Nice rooms single rooms.
Sunrise House was a great experience for addiction. The Detox team were so attentive and tried to make you as comfortable as possible. Dorene and Caitlyn are amazing human beings. They are so good for making you feel like a human being not an addict. I recommend Sunrise House because I have been here for 34 days, and I am ready to face the world again.

I learned a lot about myself and how addiction really is a family disease instead of being selfish and believing it was just all about me. The staff here was extremely helpful in providing the correct treatment as well as a curriculum that kept you busy from the very start of your day.

The detox experience made alcohol withdrawal tolerable. Without Sunrise House, it would have been dangerous and a dip into Hell. I'm thankful. The post-acute-withdrawal rehabilitation experience was subpar in its use of evidence-based practices and person-centered approach-- with the notable exception of the superb services from Social Worker Taylor, Counselor Doreen, Counselor Glorious, and Treatment Advocates Gary, Moon, and James.
Take judgement and shame and throw it out the door. I was terrified when I walked through the door, and John made me feel at ease. It was uphill from there. Even the 'bend over and cough' portion was handled with respect. When I was brought on to the dextox floor, I kept my head down and was completely scared. Defiiniitely alot more men that women! my first meals were brought back to my room, and it took awhile to get used to the meds.
