Sunset Vet and staff saved my precious babies life. Even during this crazy pandemic they squeezed me in between appointments to look and my girl who was no feeling well. She had a disease in her uterus which could’ve cause the uterus to burst and it would’ve killed her. Dr. Grimmit knew how urgent this situation was and notified a specialist to do an emergency surgery. Did this cost some money? Yes!! Was it worth saving my dog, my best friend, my companions life ? We've used Sunset for years. Drs. Kennemer and Grimmett have gone above and beyond to demonstrate their care and concern for our animals numerous times, and Vickie and the other staff have always been pleasant to deal with as well. We also regularly board our dogs there, and have had no complaints. We recommend Sunset without reservation.
Dr. Kennemer and staff are the best! They are always so friendly and helpful; they truly care about animals and their clients. I have had to make several "emergency" appointments and they are always accommodating, even on busy days. Dr. Kennemer is very patient and is great at explaining whatever the problem may be with your pet. We used to raise Chihuahuas and received excellent care. We still take our two two that we have left there. It's hard to find a Vet that is willing and adept with small breeds.Dr. Kennemer is great with the animals and shoots straight. If he doesn't quite know what the problem is he will tell you and give recommendations on what to watch for or keep the pet for further examination rather than take a shot in the dark. Vicki and the rest of the staff make the entire visit a joy. Sometimes I stay just to visit.
The staff at this office is awesome! They truely understand your relationship with your pet and want the best for both of you. Very down to earth compassionate people- highly recommend them!
