We ran into issues with getting an appraiser out on-time, with multiple delays, however that appeared to be totally related to factors outside the teams control: Christmas and New Year breaks as well as a well above average real estate transaction level. I understand this is the age of Covid-19 but I felt this entire transaction was very impersonal. Yes they did a good job but I never met any one in person. I choose Churchill Mortgage because they are local and not far from our house. I thought we would at least meet someone in person especially at the closing! It was all phone calls, emails, and mobile notaries. I don't have anything against the new "covid way" but I could have used a service like Rocket Mortgage just as easily.
