Not a very warm welcome but enjoyed the food.
I hadn't been to the Thai Square in Islington before but it is much the same as the others! Very easy and good Thai food - all the standards are there, and the food is steady. However, the portion of the duck red curry was super small. Phad Thai was very tasty, with the prawns nice and juicy. We had to ask for the bill twice, however, but that was the only downside.
As ever, Thai Square offers delicious, authentic Thai food. Great Golden Sacks for starts and fragrant beef salad for main. The dressing they use is amazing! I look forward to returning!
Thai Square - Islington Nice food
Really good for a simple night out. Good menu choice and convenient location. Staff were good and food as expected.
5 of us had a great meal at Thai Square in London. We chose the early bird menu and ate for £15 a head.
Three of us visited Thai Square Islington for a pre-cinema meal. Disappointingly our cocktails were delivered at the same time as our starter courses.Cocktails were great. We ordered the £10.95 two course deal and were happy with starters, though the soup was very like a green curry sauce, and main courses. Quantities were good and food was hot. We enjoyed the cocktails so much we ordered more! Service could be improved. Plates were removed while one of us was still eating the main course.
As always, the food at Thai Square Islington never disappoints. Service was good. I had the Beef Massaman which was delicious as were the chicken satay starters. Thoroughly recommend!
My friend and I went for Sunday lunch at Thai Square in Islington and it was... OK. The service was pleasant and attentive - but that wasn't hard when the restaurant was virtually empty, which seemed odd for a Sunday in Islington. The food was OK - my starter of corn cakes was over-cooked, and my main course (tofu stir fry) was rather too soggy. My friend enjoyed her set lunch more. Good value though.
