Good quality food, good service and a pleasant setting
Food excellent value as always, one of our party was really late, and the staff were really accomodating about this, however, they did then take forever to sort our bill, which was a shame, otherwise they'd have scored higher.
Thai Square offers excellent food and a great atmosphere.
This is a sensibly priced pretty authentic Thai restaurant in central Islington, run exclusively by real Thais. Accordingly, the service is quick, efficient and charming. The food is good and due warning is given of the really spicy dishes. The food arrives hot, is tasty and is in generous quantities. I really have no complaints about Thai Square at all, except perhaps that the wine recommended on the wine list was too sweet for my taste - but a minor quibble only.

Very good Food, fast service was lovely, being a Friday they are trying to turn over table quickly so felt slightly rushed. However will still return there.
The service is quick, perhaps a little too quick. The main courses arrived before we could finished our starters. We had the Tom Yum Goong, the deep fried soft shell crab and the thai beef spicy salad. The crab was delicate, tom yum was authentic and spicy, the thai beef salad was pretty good. For the main course, we had the duck breast and the beef red curry. The duck was on the sweet side but was well cooked. The red curry was a big let down. It was extremely watered down and flavourless.
Had a good nightout with friends who are not familiar with Islington. Food very authentic and good priced. Had the sliver set menu. I am allergic to Prawns so they changed some of the starters for me all within the set menu. Fab night out with a good overall experience. Serivce fantastic.
Had the Gold set menu. A bit overpriced at £25 each, considering a bottle of rose, bottle of Mineral water added to this made my bill nearly £80 for 2. The Sea Bass on the gold menu was very nice, but in the Tom yum soup you get prawns, and in the limited main selection its almost all prawn dishes (which are frozen not fresh). Apart from that the evening was nice, and service was attentive until we were trying to get the waiters attention to pay the bill(which is usually when they come running!)
