Food was fine , nothing to complain about however the service was what let this dining experience down. Was rushed in ordering. Staff looking very unhappy and despite an early booking, we felt rushed though.
I have been to Thai Square before, both in Putney and here in Mansion House. I have always been impressed with the food. However, on this occasion I can only say the food was disappointing. The starters (shredded duck and squid) were decent enough but the Pad Thai fell well below the mark. I have ordered the (shrimp) Pad Thai on several occasions before and always enjoyed it. Worst Thai meal ever. Restaurant very tired. Staff not really interested. Food very poor soggy Pad Thai not like Thai food whatsoever . Manager was good and we didn’t pay for two dishes . Didn’t hardly eat any of it. Won’t be returning
Have visited other Thai Squares on numerous occasions and have always apenjoyed the food. Unfortunately, this one did not live up to expectations. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated with lots of authentic ornaments from the region however, the food really lets this place down. Cold as heating not working. Xmas menu was rubbish
I have already sent a detailed account, we were most unhappy with the food, which was cold and dry. Will not be returning, however the branch at Trafalgar was fantastic Paul Hunt
We visited Thai Square off Trafalgar Square a month ago and had a fantastic meal, great service, the food was fresh and delicious , obviously very popular, by the time we left at about 7.30, it was packed and people were being turned away. We were in town again on the 1st of August,as I am being prepared to donate a kidney, so a long day at Guys Hospital. Decor was nice, some of the people were friendly - felt like they were rushing us. Mix up on the drinks order and then my calamari tasted sweet?!?
Personally I felt the food was rather generic. I wasn't very pleased with the service either, I prefer my food placed in front of me, not shoved on the table. Perhaps my standards are too high, but I won't be visiting again.
