You must try this if 1. You enjoy Thai food 2. You enjoy eating out in a fantastic venue. 3. You enjoy iconic building design. 4. You enjoy excellent service. 5. You are within 20 miles of South west London Nuff said?
Love this restaurant! Always willing to give us the lobster curry which used to be a special but doesn't appear on the menu at the moment. The only downside(and the quality of the food more than makes up for it) is that the waitresses don't always understand what we want ie a mango slush arrived rather than the mango sorbet we ordered. Our daughter always asks to go to this restaurant as she adores the Crispy duck pancakes!
We love the Thai Square in Trafalgar Square so thought seeing we had relatives down for the evening we would take them to the one in Putney. The waitress was the most depressed person I've ever met and I don't think she smiled the whole time or said anything other than 'what would you like to order?'. The food was fantastic though - so yummy!
Had recently been here for a family evening celebration for 7 which was a very good experience. This Friday lunchtime visit, despite the fine setting by the river, was uninspiring. While table service was quiet and efficient, reception seemed to have very little interest.
Fab table by the window. Great service and Thai dumplings to die for :) I'll definitely be going again!
The rver location makes this a really nice venue for food and drinks. The food is tasty and the menu varied. The service has improved recently though cn still be a little slow at points
Thai Square Putney is a gorgeous restaurant, well presented, great ambience with river view and friendly service. Food was mediocre at best, we have tasted better Thai food elsewhere. Not the best value for money for anyone would like to have taste of Thai food, perhaps good for a place to dine and enjoy a lively evening / afternoon by the river.
Came with a friend on a Saturday night and enjoyed it as much as always
Only tried the Richmond and Covent Garden Thai Squares. This is head and shoulders above what we expected. Would and will eat here again. Love it. Highly recommend.
