Really top quality service, food and situation, overlooking the River. Go for it!
For 5 adults and two children (4 and 7) a table at the bridge end was ideal. The river view was excellent and changing as dusk approached. We chose each of the set menus to provide a good variety with some additional satays for the children, The service was friendly and efficient and the children were particularly well attended to. Thanks to all; from reception to departure we were made to feel welcome.
Booked a table for a special occasion. Food up to expectations. Service attentive but not intrusive.
The Thai Square in Putney never fails to impress me. Fantastic views over the Thames and very nice foodtoo.
For me the reality of the decor did not reflect the pictures online and it felt a little bit industrial to me. However this is a good Thai restaurant. The location is very nice as it is right next to the Thames. One of the guests is vegan and there was lots of choice for them. One slight disappointment was the Weeping Tiger that one guest had and thought was quite tough, despite this overall we all enjoyed the meal and the staff are lovely.
I have had the pleasure to going to Thai Square in Putney a number of times over the last few years and it is always to a high standard. It is not the cheapest Thai but the food is always fantastic and the views over the Thames are great to. My only complaint is the restaurant was so warm I could not wait to get some fresh air.
The bill when received included a whole bottle of whisky not ordered. This was swiftly dealt with but you think some element of checking could be done first. The food as ever was lovely even though it was a very busy night.
Brought our 10 yr old and 7 yr old here for a special night out early on a Saturday night and the waiting staff could not have been nicer. It helps that our children like spicy Thai food! The food was of a high standard as always although my husband's food was lukewarm so he had to send it back, but this has never happened before. Great atmosphere, would recommend for a special occasion.
I went with my girl friends for dinner on a Friday night. The decor is amazing and the views of the river are stunning. The food was pretty average to be honest, I expected more. Thai food is meant to ooze with flavour and for me this food did not. It was okay, pretty bland and we did order a selection of dishes. This may be to cater for the taste of the majority. In terms of service I felt like we were a little rushed, the waitress kept coming up and asking if we were ready to order while we were still talking about our wee... read more
