Excellent food and good service. Just a shame it was a bit empty, but the views made up for it.
Lovely ambience about the place and great service. The meal we had was lovely with fresh thai flavours bursting in your mouth. I had one cocktail prior to the meal which was lovely also. It is lovely to get a nice view while you are eating and they definately have a prime location for that right on the Thames. Would recommend, as you don't get alot of the standard dishes on a Thai menu but the selection was lovely.
From the moment you stepped through the door the welcome was superb and the atmosphere was buzzing. The staff were attentive and their oriental attire set the eastern experience. Hospitality was good. If I were to make one negative comment, the seating area near the partition made it awkward to walk through to toilets. Food was reasonably priced, colourful and well presented. Excellent views of the river although not seated there.
We went on a Saturday night. The food was absolutely delicious - couldn't fault it, although quite pricey. However, the jive was jumping and the noise from the downstairs bar was very, very loud - we went to our table early because we couldn't hold a conversation. Maybe we are just getting old....
Thai Square - Putney had lovely views of the river and excellent food.
Another great night at the Thai Square. An excellent night and and fantastic atmosphere!
Authentic Thai food even though it's a chain restaurant. Spice toned down a tad though. Price worthwhile for river view. Service was impeccable.
Lovely atmosphere overlooking River Thames. Staff are very attentive. I had Tom Yum Prawn to start which I must say was very disappointing. It was soup with vinegar. To follow, I had Jungle curry as I love spicy food and enjoyed it alot better than the first course! My other friend ordered Thai Green curry, who said it was bland, and too sweet. Another friend of mine ordered steak which was random, and instantly regretted it..very interesting sauce, and the portion was tiny.
Thai Square - Putney Service was a complete disaster. Took ages to place our order, then some mains came out with starters, they served our wine, took the bottles away, and didn't come back to refill!! took over an hour from seating to seeing so much as a prawn cracker! when we complained management did apologise and gave us 2 bottles of champagne, but not impressed and not going back.
