We have eaten several times at the Thai Square restaurant in South Kensington and have found it reasonable, but nothing special. However, this time we found the food to be superb, extremely tasty and plenty of it. Maybe, there has been a change of chef or we were just lucky. A very good pre-Prom venue!
The ambiance is rated lower than the others as the dining areas are very small and each table is very close by. It's impossible not to touch your neighbours, let alone be overheard.
Food was good but they ran out of the mango and sticky rice as a pudding, which is my favourite. Staff seemed tired after a long day in there as it was 9.15pm when I arrived for a meal from the Proms.
Thai Square on exhibition road has friendly and helpful staff but the food is not nearly as good as the Trafalgar square branch.
Meal was very good and was served in good time. Our table was booked for 5.30pm though, and the restaurant was barely open at that time. Not a good impression in that respect, and we had to wait outside in the pouring rain. Perhaps the employers should train their staff a bit better in that respect, but the meal was fine and reasonably priced. We will be going again few times this summer because it is convenient for going to the BBC Proms.
Thai Square - Exhibition was very good.
This Thai Square in SK (London) is a good fix for those looking for thai food. Food is good, serice correct and diverse tasting menus are available. However, there are nicer (and cheaper) places for having Thai food around London.
Thai Square was a nice casual place for some good thai tastes. We had 7 people and were sat upstairs in a fairly cramped table. The mixed starters were good and pleased everyone round the table. The Massuman lamb curry was delicious so was the green curry. The seared prawns were juicy and the sauces all good thai flavors. All in all a good night, good atmosphere and relatively good priced. I'll be back again if I feel the need for thai.
Good Thai food and quick pleasant service. Walking distance to the Royal Albert Hall about 7-8 minutes at a slow pace.
