Glad we booked ! The Thai Square in South Ken is a tiny place in the area just by the tube station, so perfect for a quick bite on the way to the oyal Albert Hall. We had a glass of wine exh and the silver set menu and with the 10 service added it came to £52. Would go gain but would probably not pick the set menu, which I thought was pretty average, but which we enjoyed nevertheless. Satay chicken served with cold satay sauce??

This was an excellent meal and we stayed a long time eating excellent food and good service. The last of many visits this summer whilst going to the Proms. See what next year brings.
Two of us had a meal last night on our way to the final week of the Proms. My friend's Duck Red Curry was excellent as was my Chicken Jungle Curry. The service was much improved as well, but the restaurant is still very slow at opening up for a 5.30pm reservation. We were left outside to the last minute. The owners should at least open up at 5.20pm and give people a chance to get in and order a drink whilst they wait - or just stay open all day. It's in a prime position in Kensington.
Very busy night in the restaurant as so many were off the the Proms as well, but the service was good and the food was it's usual good standard.
The mango and sticky rice coconut pudding is a wonderful sweet, and as far as I know not many of the Thai Square chain actually serve that. Excellent.
Another tasty and filling pre-concert meal at the Thai Square, Exhibition Road.
It was quieter than usual. Staff seemed bored again even when we were there!! But the service was fine and the food was good. A few more trips to this restaurant with the Proms on for another two weeks, and then that's it for another year!
Very nice meal, and met some fellow Promenarders going to the Albert Hall Proms, so the atmosphere was great as we all had had the same idea to go to Thai Square. Even the staff were more attentive and spoke more English to us - and smiled!
