Was a nice evening, good food, though noisy restaurant and service was a little slow! Better than the Minories branch though...
Had a fab meal at Thai Square last Friday night. Restaurant was busy - service was attentive but unobtrusive, and the food was divine! A starter platter, 2 main dishes, (weeping tiger and a stir-fry chicken dish), with rice and a pad thai, with a bottle of red - came to approx £90 for two (incl service) - so not cheap, but definitely worth it for a special night out in lovely surroundings.
Food and location are great....would recommend. Only note of error was the service, they were quite obviously turning tables and wanted us in and out quickly.
The meal was fantastic but a bit disappointed as I was not offered any discount. That caused me to spend more than i budgeted for.
Food great. Service awful.
We had early dinner at Thai Square. Despite being a Sunday the restaurant was busy. Tables were cramped, the waitress couldnt get close to serve us. Food was so-so, definitely not top notch Thai food. The papaya salad was tasty but the vegetarian spring rolls were bland, the pastry a little solid. The green curry could have been more creamy but was otherwise ok, again we've had better pad thai in other restaurants.
Thai Square, Cockspur Street, London. We had a very enjoyable evening on the day before Valentine's Day. Tasty food and excellent, unobtrusive service. What a gorgeous room too with lovely high ceilings. We will return.
A brilliant experience, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was lovely. The table had the gold set menu which was great value for money. The only negative was our waiter seemed preoccupied and needed to smile more, but all in all a very good restaurant.
First member of our party arrived and did not realise I had booked. He asked for the corner table in the window and was told it was reserved (by me!) Top marks for keeping our table even though we were held up by tube delays! Excellent service because we were dining pre-theatre and due to our lateness had limited time but did not feel rushed through our meal. We had both the Ruby & Jade fixed menu and enjoyed every item. The fresh fruit platter was especially delicious.
