A few weeks ago our cat stopped eating and began rapidly began losing weight. After a few days of her not getting better we called our regular vet, but they had no openings, and were recommended Ark Vet Clinic, who was able to see us very quickly. I unfortunately wasn't able to go myself due to work, so rushed my partner and kitty over. They work every day which has been a godsend! Excellent place to put an animal down, very compassionate! They have some good docs and some not so good. Not the right vet practice for animals that are not very friendly or who don't like vet visits as the vets are adament about removing animals from room to do most things. Billing practices are questionable: recently I was told a post-op visit would be free and then charged, and then told, "that's just how it is in medical practices."

I do not recommend!!!!! My five month old cat got sick a week ago today. He stopped eating, he was constantly throwing up, not playing, etc. I finally took him here on Sunday. They did an ultrasound and x-rays told me that they couldn’t see a defined structure stuck inside, but something could potentially be stuck in there. They told me my options were to either give him an anti-nausea vomiting pill, or to do an exploratory surgery. My family and I have gone to Ark for years. Unfortunately I had tried to get my cat medication and appointment I called several times in 3 weeks no one ever tried to get ahold of me I called one last time and was put on a waiting list my pet had been seen there for a similar problem Every person I talked to on the phone told me a different story and they’d call me back. Hi Tina, we are sorry to hear about your recent experience here at The Ark. We did create a waitlist for those in the community and try to prioritize pets to fit them in every day of the week. When other clinics in the community shortened their hours, we extended ours. When others stopped accepting new patients, we did the opposite and welcomed those in the Eugene community needing care. My dog has been coming here for years. The last year has been a nightmare as far as customer service. My dog needs sedatives so I can cut his hair. I was emailed the prescription. I walked into the clinic to pick up the meds which took about 20 minutes. I gave my dog the medication according to directions and it was like I didn’t give him anything at all.
