I attempted to schedule a self-guided tour with my boyfriend this past Saturday to check out Boat House and the Hudson (along with other properties). This was our one free day to tour apartments, so we wanted to explore as many options as possible. The instructions for the self-guided tour were not clear on how to find the unit listed and it only had us checking out a 1 bedroom unit when we requested 2 bedrooms only, so we decided to head to the joint leasing office to see if we could change the unit we are touring. Have had two terrible experiences with the guest suite. They offer a fully furnished apartment for guests for $150/ night. Beautiful and convenient BUT they don't clean it! The first time I was told they lost the key and couldn't clean it prior to my arrival. They refunded 1 night of 2 night stay. I tried again. This time there was trash in bathroom and kitchen, the towels were dirty, and the sheets were dirty with hair all over them. Nope. Walked out and got a hotel nearby. Will be contacting them for full refund.
I will preface with the fact that I am usually a pretty understanding person, but I have been extremely disappointed with the service I have received here. I took a tour of the Boathouse in October and Isaiah showed me an example unit of what I would be getting. He promised to give me some options by the end of the day but never followed up with me after numerous calls and emails. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. I wish I could give this establishment zero stars. The customer service is terrible, they are over priced, and when you move out they will charge you for everything. They let the contractors determine the price and we all know how that goes. The only star I’m giving them is for location. Everything is close by. As far as the leasing center, customer service, and communication the boathouse is terrible. They will blame everything on the resident and not take any responsibility for anything. They also stated in an email that my rent goes month to month at the end of this month and meanwhile charged MTM rent last month. They also stated that we have to provide a 60 day notice to leave but in Texas, when you are month to month, only 30 days is required by law. When ... read more
