When you get to the final stage of a facility (memory care), you want to know that your loved ones are cared for. There are lots of stories to the contrary. We appreciate the Director of Memory Care. We appreciate how they do the little and big things and the staff has been living and friendly.
My Mom has been at The Brennity-Vero for one year. My Mom is a tough audience. She loves her Aides and actually said "I miss them" when returning from her one week hospital stay last summer. She participates in dominoes, bingo, plays solitaire on her tablet and joins Ladies Movie Nights. We're thrilled with the care she (and we) receive at The Brennity-Vero. Diane's professionalism, expertise, caring and complex mgmt of medical issues both in-house and externally is the key driver.
I would recommend it to others. My parents are pleased with their apartment and the activities. The food could be a bit better and the dining room needs a makeover.
I would recommend The Brennity-Vero. The professionalism & genuine care for the Residents of the staff... from Activities Leaders to Asst Nurse to Nurse to DR Waitress to Receptionist is wonderful. What we really like about Brennity at Vero Beach is the food, it is great!! They absolutely offer a good variety - I've eaten there a few times and it is always delicious and our loved one never complaints where she did at a previous community. Where we think they could improve on is the medication management. What we really like about the Brennity at Very Beach is that the staff really go above and beyond to get to know the residents, pay attention to each individual and do a top notch job of keeping the family in the loop. Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.
The value for the money is tremendous. We picked because this community because, it was in our price range. I like that it's a gated community. The staff is friendly. I would recommend to other familes, and have already done so.
The overall experience was fair. Food was very good and pricing was better than most but the care was mediocre. I was very disappointed in The Brennity's medication management care as it required a lot of oversight on my part. There were a lot of mixups and getting someone to call me back was nearly impossible. The last disappointment was that I never received a sympathy card from The Brennity. Taking everything into account, I would not recommend The Brennity.
