The food was expectedly good for our first time there. A substitute was made for one of the side vegetables, which was okay. The Restaurant Week offer got us in but the regular prices are not for the everyday person. We're not young with great jobs and certainly not on expense accounts. The table we were seated at required four papers or napkins to level it and it had been like that before we arrived. The bathroom for men was not cared for as it should be, i.e., one of the shadow box displays was damaged beyond repair (someo... read more
Unfortunately the night that we went it did not go well. I made reservations and didn't get sitted to almost an hour later. I got my steak before my salad and we even waited awhile to get both. The server was nice and very apologetic. I don't blame her because it was not her fault. It was management fault for not planning accordingly to a busy night and lack of kitchen staff and that's due to the pandemic which I understand.
Jenny, our waitress was great. The food was delicious. I had outdoor seating so I never went inside but the glimpses I had of the interior looked beautiful.
Came in for Restaurant Week and everything was amazing. The food was delicious, ambiance was great and service was on point. Looking forward to coming back soon!
Stopped in for day 1 of restaurant week in San Diego. We both chose the $50 dinners. Came with appetizer, entree and dessert. They served our tiny filets on giant blue plates which looked so out of place for a steakhouse. They felt like they belonged in a Mexican restaurant instead. Also, they had the music level very high. Made it hard to hear what we were saying to each other inside. Other than that, everything was perfect. Stay-aged steak is always a good choice. Especially when it’s $50. Cheers!
Our server was barely around, my wife’s NY steak was undercooked. We ordered our food way before the table beside us ordered theirs but they got their food and desserts before us. I had to flag down someone to refill my water glass a few times.
Service was perfect, the food not great. We had the Ribeye, the Scallops and the Brussels sprouts (which we ended up returning because they were pretty bad). Neither one of our dishes was as delicious as it looked on the pictures and definitely overpriced. Great ambiance but the food definitely needs some work.
Nothing really special for the price I was paying. Been to much better steak houses for a lot less the cost. My steak was cooked right but didn't really have a lot of flavor or pop to it. Really it was overpriced and underdelivered.
Restaurant was busy, recommend reservations. Oysters were very good & so was the lobster ravioli!! The best dinner I’ve had on vacation! Our server was very attentive!
