We have exceedingly high expectations when we are fortunate enough to find the time to enjoy a night out together and the Food, staff and ambiance at The butcher's Cut was excellent. You would be doing yourself a favor by enjoying this gem of a place. We will definitely be back. Thank you for filling our bellies and putting big smiles on our faces.
Loved two light dishes tonight. I had a fruit salad and the octopus. Could have used more octopus but it was excellent.

This place is a dress-up place. You won’t feel awkward if you dressed to impress your date. Very crowded with tables being small and trying to seat as most people as they can in a small space. But their service and delicious food makes up for it. I went for vday and it did not disappoint. Their waiter Kevin impressed us most with his easy conversation and enthusiasm for food and wine! Taste was on point! I ordered the Chicken Funghi and we had two or three bottles of their Barbera. Yummmmm.
Food was a bit pricey, drinks a bit weak. Service was very good
Romantic setting, excellent service, delicious food. Highly recommend Bone-In Ribeye - amazing flavor, melt in your mouth steak.
Delicious! One of the best steaks I have ever had. The wine sommelier came over to ask if we had questions and he gave us some great recommendations for the future and for purchases at home. The scallops were delicious!
Pros: The food was really flavorful. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice. It right in the middle of the Gaslamp district. I came for restaurant week so the price I paid was great value for two steak dinners. Cons: I ordered one beer which I never received. It was the only drink I ordered for the rest of the night. The waiter also spilled my side dish on the floor and never offered to replace it. I won’t be coming back to this establishment.
I wouldn’t recommend until they become more established. Asked very specific questions about items on the menu (I.e., are the Brussels sprouts pan fried?), and the answer provided was the exact opposite of how they came. The value was just not there when comparing the cost against the quality of the dishes and experience. However, I did have a filet mignon and that came out great.
