Great wine list - and fun, diverse menu selection. Servers really seemed to care about our experience and returned often to check on our table.
We really enjoyed our dinner starting with the delicious crab and spinach appetizer and ending with a delicious butterscotch dessert! The braised lamb shank was perfect! We will definitely return!
Employees were great. Location was fun. The food needed a bit more work - low on seasoning and the quality just wasn’t as high as the quality of staff and ambiance.
The ambience was excellent but the food fell short. The beet salad was delicious but the 2 entrees were definitely not worth the expense.
Loved the location and the patio. Service was friendly and attentive, if a bit slow. The fresh oregano in the olive oil for the focaccia was a beautiful touch. The meal was only okay. My steak was luke-warm and the cous cous had no discernible flavor. The coq au vin was sort of deconstructed, more like chicken with a side of potatoes. My wine was served almost warm. The food was fantastic, service very good, great wine selection!
Great ambiance and friendly service, a real gem. Food was creative and fairly priced. Wine selection accompanied the food very well. Management was attentive but not overly so. A nice comfortable restaurant. We’ll be back for sure.
I was visiting SD for the weekend and was looking for a good breakfast spot. The Gaslamp district can be overwhelming with options from excellent to poor. So using OpenTable is very helpful to narrow the search and get reservation at more popular restaurants. Route29 was a good choice they just started serving breakfast/brunch this weekend so a few hiccups but nothing that would prevent me from returning or recommending to others. Just a few things for feedback - there is always room for improvement: time from order to food ... read more
Delicious food, very friendly and efficient staff. Thank you, Adrian for making our 20th Anniversary so special. Our dinner was amazing! The short ribs and butternut squash were fabulous! The desserts are to die for!! Everything was so perfect, we went back on Saturday for an excellent Brunch! We highly recommend this new and unique restaurant. Truly a Gem in the Gaslamp Quarter!
