Went to SD for an overnight stay with my husband on MLK weekend. On the way down decided to make dinner reservations at the Butcher's Cut Steakhouse. We got there a little early before our reservation time, and were graciously greeted and seated. The decor is exquisite, food was delish the tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection with mashed potatoes and asparagus made our dinner complete! The highlight of our dining experience was our server, Nicky from Jersey. She was attentive, informative and a knowledgeable of the menu. The cocktails were okay and a fun start to the dining experience. The appetizers were not as good as expected. We had the Cajun shrimp which was fairly bland and did not have very much of a Cajun flavor. The crab cakes were small, overcooked and too much filler/breading. Staff was amazing! My pasta/seafood was a bit overcooked, but the taste was still pretty good. The wine was soooo good! I would def dine here again.
Great food and service; everything was right for a New Years Birthday dinner. Nikki was attentive, helpful, and best of all she made our son feel like he was the center of everything for his 7th birthday.
This restaurant is a must do in San Diego. It did not disappoint! Everything was exceptional.
