it was ok for the price but it wasn't a nice place overall, old and run down, smelled damp/mildew. restaurant on site for breakfast was not good. waited at least 45 minutes for our breakfast on saturday morning (it was not at all crowded or busy) and received food half cooked, had to ask multiple times to get food correct and by then everyone else was finished.waste of money. also the room smelled like mold/mildew and our things felt damp after being in the room all day. also there was no common area in the room (a suite) to... read more

Congress Plaza ONLY thing was that the details of the room were a little sloppy. Doors were old, paint was chipping, bathroom tub was slow to drain (but did drain after a few minutes). Fan in the bathroom did nothing to dispel steam after a shower. Hotel lobby was gorgeous, rooms were clean and unique. Location is perfect.

Wonderful Perfect location for tourists in Chicago. Right on Grant Park, with rapid trains & busses connecting you to all events in Chicago. Clean, nice in the ways you want a hotel to be, with real historic elegance. Ask for a room on the lake for a great view!
