insgesamt positiv, die Vorteile der guten Lage überwiegen Leider ist das Hotel sehr in die Jahre gekommen, dafür riesiges Zimmer mit 2 großen Betten. Die Lage ist perfekt.
An old, well-kept, historical, hustling bustling big city cosmopolitan hotel! Friendly! nothing I love the cosmopolitan mix at the Congress - from staff to fellow travelers - love hearing the different languages, seeing different people. Staff - bellhops, front desk are terribly friendly. It is truly a big city hotel - love the hustle and bustle - love the oldness of it - love the elevators!
For this location, do yourself a favor and get a better experience at the Palmer House. I’ve stayed in many a historic hotel. I realize they come with trade offs. But the Congress has just not upgraded or even maintained their facilities to the standard I would expect. The room itself was clean and moderately updated, but throughout the rest of the building, paint was peeling, there were holes in the walls, and everything felt much more “dated” rather than “historic.”. Very Good THE WIFI WAS NOT GOOD MANY TIMES THAT IS A PROBLEM ESPESIALLY IF I WANT COMMUNICATE WITH MY HOME IN EUROPE WITH VIBER OR MESSENGER AND OF COURSE TO USE INTERNET.ALSO THE WINDOWS DID NOT OPEN AND THE AIR COULD NOT BE RENEWED BECAUSE THERE WAS NO VENTILATION IN THE ROOM.
Would I pay an extra $150 a night for a better Hotel? - No Way!!! Buckingham Room did smell of cigarettes Big hotel so quite a few new staff who were a bit limited Hotel was a bit tired Value / price and location
