generally, very satisfying The hotel is old and basically kept up very well. However, the ice machine was miles away from our room, and the toilet ran constantly after being flushedl. We probably could have had it fixed, but we were out most of the day, and we don't like having people in our room when we're not there. We've stayed at the Congress many times for the Chicago Bluesfest, which is walking distance from the venue

OK The room was Ok, but could be better for the price, as an example the TV was very small (probably 30 inches), it was not better than any mid price hotel like a Holiday Inn. location
handy hotel for short stays same as many hotels there was signs of wear and tear but nothing awful. housekeeping was knocking on the door at 8.30am which was a big annoying great location in central Chicago
