I am so disappointed in this company. I signed a contract that said I could cancel my membership if I moved more than 15 miles away. I recently got married and moved 19 miles away. After providing documentation, the company has gone dark and will not respond to me. After multiple attempts over multiple weeks, I filed a consumer complaint. It is incredibly frustrating to have to jump through these hoops. This company has zero integrity.

This is a scam. I was led on with a "waive your registration fee" special, but three months later, they charged me $50 for annual dues. I was told at sign up I could change my membership but when I called to do that, I was told I could not change my membership during my contract. When I said I wanted to cancel, I was told I could not do that either unless I paid the remainder of my membership. The childcare is closed due to covid, 1 of 2 tanning beds is broken, the massage thing never works - there is no need for me to pay ... read more

Do not sign up here. I was diagnosed Covid positive at the end of October. I called and reported that my husband and I would not be able to utilize our memberships for the foreseeable future and due to quarantining we could not come in to cancel our memberships. I was assured that this would be handled and that I would not have to worry. I have been charged EVERY MONTH since then, despite calling many times. I have left messages for the managers to call me back and received no return calls. I have been forced to file claims ... read more

Signed a 2-year contract with them. And I was told by the salesperson that I could downgrade my contract "At ANY time" and that I should take advantage of the introductory rates while they last. So I did - I then attempted to downgrade my membership as I didn't need some of the extras. I was told by two branches that "I'm sorry someone told you that, but it's in your terms and conditions and you are locked in at your current rate". Hi- do not sign a contract here. I signed up and liked it. But when i stated i was not comfortable attending with sick family members, i was told i needed to provide real proof of their or my own illness. Then when i moved out of state, and provided a pay statement with new address, i was told to contact a 3 party company to cancel who stated my proof wasn't the accepted kind of proof and still wouldn't cancel. I have been trying to cancel for almost a year now. shameful.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. Terrible place. So the start of last year I figured why don't I join a gym and try to be more active this is the first gym I've signed up for and they advertised that there was no contract. HA! I had no idea they would be locking me into a contract for 2 years. The first shutdown from covid happened and they continuously charged the $30 a month. edge is a ripoff. They claim they care about what is happened in the world. I asked to cancel my membership due to a couple of reason. 1. Covid and the fact that we are on lockdown. 2. I care for my mother who is high on the covid list. 3. Financially I can't afford the fees and to live plus take of my elderly mom. The reason to cancel are if you move, military or if a doctor takes me out. There is nothing wrong we me thankfully but I can't run the risk with my mother. This was a great gym until COVID. Unfortunately they are not offering any options to continue freezing memberships during a Pandemic, especially with the new safety Order in Michigan right now! Members are forced to continue paying monthly for a gym we cannot safely use. I would have gladly continued going here after the Pandemic. But now I am quite disappointed in them and would like to cancel altogether. BEWARE.

BEYOND disappointed in the professionalism! I signed up for a membership before the gym was even open. I mentioned to the sales guy who signed me up, that I wasn't sure if I was ready to commit to yet another gym membership. He ensured me that I could sign up today, pay monthly and if I decided it wasn't for me, I could cancel my membership at any time penalty-free.
