It was our first dining experience at The Fountain Room. We really liked the restaurant, the atmosphere, and the location. The meat and cheese board was fantastic with the meats coming locally from the Smoking Goose - excellent. Our server was very friendly and polite. She would disappear and check back a little less frequently than we would have liked. Once our food came out, we needed some items, but it was almost ten (10) minutes before she checked on us. Thank you for the lovely service and making my husband's birthday special. We're from out of town visiting for a conference so it was a nice evening out. The lady at the front desk and our server were particularly friendly and helpful. Thank you!

I usually try a place three times before leaving any reviews, but The Fountain Room was pretty disappointing. There was no draft beer or soda available due to a problem with the lines. Apparently, it costs more to get someone out to fix on the weekend, so they were waiting until Monday. The food was ok. I had a the ribeye, which was prepared well and tasted delicious. We went on a Sat night @ 8:15 pm and were seated at a high top table for 2. Service was good, but it was very crowded & people were watching the Olympics on the TV, so noise level was a bit elevated. Our food was excellence, but our appetizer ( the crab cake ) was covered in red chili peppers that were extremely hot, basically inedible, so be forewarned! Our entrees were both delicious. 1st time eating dinner here, so we’d prolly request a table in the actual restaurant to avoid some of the noise & chaotic atmosphere.

On our arrival the front desk staff greeted us warmly and arranged for our special requests. The decor was wonderful. The lobster bisque was the best ever. The Brie Brûlée was delicious and creative. The Key Lime cocktail was the best mixologist crafted cocktail I have ever had. We will definitely be back next time we are in Indianapolis.
