We loved our first time at The Fountain Room! Highly recommend for a special occasion.
Our shrimp cocktails and oysters were outstanding, and the scallops the most tender I’ve ever had. Service was personable and timely, and there are so many options on the menu that you could eat (and drink) there for a week without getting bored.
Overall food experience was good. Service was absolutely horrible!!! Dined for business meeting event and the service couldn’t have been worse. Plates not cleared between courses l, had to request drink service multiple times (not a heavy drinking group at all, max 2 glasses of wine); did not checkin or ask about food. Plates (appetizer and salad ) from prior course still on table when main course arrived. Nice ambiance inside, wonderful menu; however the bad service made for a poor experience.
We were visiting Indy and wanted to explore the bottleworks district and have a nice dinner in a historic place. We were delighted with the atmosphere and the menu at the Fountain Room and the service was lovely- attentive but very laid back. For 3 of us, we had the cornbread and meatballs to start which were delicious, the potato casserole (star of the show!) fried chicken, hangar steak, and wagyu burger. Sorbet and espresso martini for dessert. Left with plenty of leftovers as portions were ample. The decor and detail of t... read more
The lobster bisque had an excellent flavor and lots of lobster. The filet was cooked perfectly. We added a side of blue cheese & bacon brussels spouts, which were the best that I have eaten. It was a very flavorful dish, that was a great compliment to the filet. The service was also very good.
Our server Daniel was a top notch professional. He was attentive without being overbearing. He was knowledgeable and Made excellent recommendations for our first visit and was easy to hear above the ambient noise. The food was hot, fresh and the Fountain Room managed to make old favorites new and interesting. Overall extremely well done!
Took the wife out for a much overdue date. Place was fantastic, drinks were make beautifully and food tasted as good as it looked. Will be back to try more of the menu!
Great food and drinks. Prime rib was very tender with great flavor. Service was top notch. Scallops were the best I’ve ever had - so tender and juicy. Will be back!
Chose The Fountain Room because of all the great reviews and its location right across from the Bottleworks Hotel. The good: the decor was wonderful, fun, and comfortable, with huge windows looking out on Mass Avenue and Carrollton; our waitress Katherine was great! The bad: the food was a big disappointment. I couldn't wait to try the Brie Brulee after all the fantastic reviews. Unfortunately, I could not detect any brie, just the sweet cream and sugary crust. It was more of a dessert when I was expecting an appetizer (alth... read more
