Happened to be staying at Circus Circus for the BBQ, Blues and Brews Fest and after I completed day 1 I realized that I really needed to get some food in my stomach ASAP! So after wandering around a bit I stumbled on the Circus Circus "food court" with one restaurant in it, Habit Burger Grill. So being in a pinch I stepped up to the plate and ordered a Double Char Burger meal no tomato (see picture) with fries and a coffee shake (at least I believe it was coffee, things were a bit blurry). Ah, The Habit! Lately all my faves are coming into the area :) I first experienced a Habit burger years ago in Santa Barbara at what I think is their first store. It is a walkup in the old Spanish part of town and the locals raved about their secret spot. There were a few other branches at the time- Ventura etc, but it was still just locals only. Came here during the BBQ and Brews Festival. It was the best place after drinking cocktails out in the hot sun. We ordered the Ahi Burger, the California one and the mushroom burger. Along with french fries, Caesar salad and, onion rings and a chocolate malt. For the amount of food we got it didn't take long to get the food. I had the California burger which was a double burger with grilled onions, avocado lettuce and tomatoes on grilled sourdough bread. Good burgers. I really enjoy the albacore tuna sandwich and the tempura green beans are delicious. I have eaten at Habit Burgers in California and they have always been really good. This location is in circus circus food court. I mapped it on my phone and didn't realize it, just FYI. Really, I would just go to my neighborhood places for burgers. It was - OK. It is a giant step above a regular fast food place (i.e. McDonalds) and on par with with corporate burgers like In-N-Out and Five Guys. It is quite a few steps below some of our local burger havens like Beefys or Burger Me. The burger itself was moist and just pink on the inside with a nice char flavor - hence the moniker "Charburger". My husband and I tried this place last week. The burgers are very good! Juicy and well seasoned. The fries are kinda meh though. Speaking of fries, we had a weird thing happen with ours. The extremely overworked gentleman that was expediting orders grabbed our fries off our tray and put them in a to go order. We were impressed with this place! Two delicious Charburgers with cheese and an order of onion rings was about 13.00 and beats many more expensive burger joints for flavor. They have real ranch and peppers, plus delicious juices and shakes. The staff was friendly and the dining area was clean, bright and fun. We can't wait for the one to open in Sparks... or maybe we should!
The burger was good . Not what I rembered from Cali but still liked it.. I added Swiss cheese and bacon ... it was a pretty big burger and some good flavor. Wish they had cheddar and not put so much spices on The burger..dont know if it was The onions or The patty.
