Get directionsThe quality of care is a 4 because they are understaffed. Management doing best they can with staff at current level. The food is very good and there are many activities for the residents to participate in. I have not worked with any other facility so I can't determine if the level of care is better or worse than others. At the current rate, I would hope that staffing levels would increase.
The facility is very warm and welcoming. From the concierge desk staff to the dining staff they know my Mom's name, they will stop and sit with her while she is eating and talk with her. The nursing staff is very on point. For medical my mom uses the in house Nurse Practitioner who in turn set her up with in house physical therapy, and made a referral to a neurologist for my mom. Really not a bad thing to say about the place at all. The only downside would be the cost for level of care. My mom is considered a level 3 and it'... read more
The staff have all been wonderful. They really make a genuine effort to make all of the residents feel like family and the sense of community really comes across well. The facility is kept very clean and the activities are endless. My father is very happy there.
Very kind and did their best to help us place our mother. They have a license for her food to be pureed and up to a level six in care for her needs. This was the most beautiful ALF I have ever seen, and they have a wonderful variety of activities for the residents.
The facility was very nice but not suited to my father’s desires. It is suited to a much more active lifestyle than a 94 year old wants. I can see it would be good for a younger senior.
The staff and caregivers are outstanding. I wish we would have been able to start my mom's Assisted Living Community Journey at the Harrison. The only reason we decided to leave my mom where she is was due to the fact that we are afraid she will be more disoriented with the move, she's 93 and currently in Memory Care.
What we like the most about the community is their helpfulness, friendliness and it is clean. I would recommend The Harrison. Very impressed with Director Stephanie, she is competent, knowledgeable, sincerely cares about placing you in the best situation for your needs.
Negative: felt the administrative staff did not return calls or respond to emails timely. My father went in under care of hospice so he was in last stages of his life and passed. He wore a watch and upon his passing the watch disappeared. We notified the administration of this loss and was told they would look into it. We never heard back. Also, when he passed we never heard from the Harrison only heard from the hospice nurse. Positive: care takers seemed nice, Harrison is clean and provides a cheery environment. I was very ... read more
It started out good, but then they lost their Dining Room Manager, Chef, and several good servers. Food quality diminished and wait times for being served greatly increased. Most management is fairly new and inexperienced, but they do seem to care and try. Med Techs seem nice and competent. Billing is unnecessarily difficult for residents and even their families to understand, and could be clearer. The Concierges are all nice and really try to help. It just seems like the Harrison is understaffed, especially in the dining ro... read more
