Delighful views, much to choose from the menu. Drinks change periodically and they are seasonal. Waitstaff give good service as we never had to ask for more water, bread, condiments etc.

I was looking for good food, bar and live music to dance too. Received all and was pleasantly surprised with all. I thought food was as good as captain Bill's bayshore. Bar drink same, both provide a good drink however the extra benefit at the Oar was the music. . Definitely on my list to return on a monthly basis when I am on LI. Visited on Saturday night and band started early for us older ones. Good mix of people more middle-aged 50's plus. Very good value for your dollar.

Went there on a Saturday night. There was a person singing and the crowd at the bar was so noisy trying to talk over him. The food was very good but the noise was so overwhelming, you can't even have a conversation without yelling. Will not go back there again.
Warmly welcomed by the hostesses, immediately greeted by busgal and waitress. Bread, drinks and appetizer order taken swiftly. Holiday drink list is a good variety. Coffee is piping hot with fresh cream. Burgers, steak and soups are brought out to perfect temperature. Desserts were phenomenal. Would visit again.

The Oar House has been given a face lift and it is quite beautiful. I was there on a Friday evening and all of the rooms were lit and decorated beautifully. There was vocal music which added to the ambiance. The menu has been changed for the better also. I had a delicious salad and our waiter was beyond helpful and courteous. I will be back again soon.
