The Oar is a great place to go for excellent food, service, and ambiance. We’ve been there about 10’times now. This time we had the Oar Burgers which were delicious without ketchup. We asked for well done regular French fries and well done sweet potato French fries. Both came out well done and hot. The regular French fries were better because they were a little thicker, best regular fries I’ve ever had. Food was very good, Open Tables menu was different from menu at The Oar, and prices were considerably higher on the house menu. Service was excellent. Always enjoy the ambiance, can't wait till the weather gets nicer to sit outside. Was a little noisy around the bar, but that's to be expected on a rainy Friday night.
Good food, very loud, and slow service.
The food is excellent as was the service. The only negative was the noise level, bur still would recommend the Oar
Had Lobster Roll lunch Portion size tiny Cost was pricey Not very ample menu for lunch in my opinion Sandwich roll that tiny lobster portion was on was a very small hot dog roll Potatoes were hefty portions Dessert tray was a good selection but not enough of my favorites Very good service
Been at The Oar several times and it has not disappointed. Very good food and service is excellent. A “go-to” place.
