I would rate Orchard Grove as 5s all they way down. They are exceptional. I know my sister recommended that facility to an elderly woman who was planning on moving on her own. My mother, originally not happy with moving back to the north, totally LOVES it there. We got her a studio apartment and she is extremely happy. They not only treat their residents like gold, but they treat the families the same way. I am not sure if I am the best one to answer these questions, but based off of my overall experience and interactions, I would rate everything a 5! The food would definitely be a 5 plus. they have an on site nurse practitioner and she is very helpful. They also have a van service that is good. Staff have all been very friendly and professional. I would recommend The Residence at Orchard Grove to anyone who needs a managed-living situation.

I would encourage potential residents to ask many questions at the initial viewing and discussion of the support system. I would also encourage potential residents to have a few meals and to get a sense of what it's like to dine at the facility. I would also encourage potential residents to speak with current residents to get a sense of the community. We have loved our experience with this community. They have great food, and the people are nice. There are three meals a day served to the residents and they have choices to choose from. They are providing laundry and housekeeping services for my loved one. Some of the activities include: bingo, field trips, swing dancing, and more for the residents to participate in.
It seems like when people come to The Residences at Orchard Grove they come because of the activities. It seems like they want the residents to just live their fullest life here, it does not feel institutional at all. They have so much going on every single day - there is bingo, board games, movies, arts and crafts, different exercises classes and social hours. Our loved one is really enjoying the meals and dining service and we would definitely recommend this community to other families.

My loved one was not at this community for a long time. I would recommend, as long as it is for asstisted living only, opposed to long term care or a nursing home.
