Get directionsI would encourage potential residents to ask many questions at the initial viewing and discussion of the support system. I would also encourage potential residents to have a few meals and to get a sense of what it's like to dine at the facility. I would also encourage potential residents to speak with current residents to get a sense of the community. I would say that my loved one is someone who is a loner, so he may not be a typical resident. At the same time, we expected a bit more support on a regular basis. Sometimes we ... read more
The food is very good and based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.
My loved one, is quite happy with the food. It is expensive. We picked this location because, of the location, and it's closer to my home.
We have loved our experience with this community. They have great food, and the people are nice. There are three meals a day served to the residents and they have choices to choose from. They are providing laundry and housekeeping services for my loved one. Some of the activities include: bingo, field trips, swing dancing, and more for the residents to participate in.
It seems like when people come to The Residences at Orchard Grove they come because of the activities. It seems like they want the residents to just live their fullest life here, it does not feel institutional at all. They have so much going on every single day - there is bingo, board games, movies, arts and crafts, different exercises classes and social hours. Our loved one is really enjoying the meals and dining service and we would definitely recommend this community to other families.
My loved one was not at this community for a long time. I would recommend, as long as it is for asstisted living only, opposed to long term care or a nursing home.
Our tour experience with Residence at Orchard Grove was great. The place seemed very nice and they had a lot to offer, but it was EXTRMELY expensive. It was about double what my parents are paying now at their current facility and they have the same amenities.
It's generally an okay place. But you're paying for services. Nothing is given to you for free, and it's expensive. There is also an increase in cost every year. The apartment is okay and certainly meets my needs. The staff have been pretty good in my interactions with them.
The administrator [name removed] is above and beyond. She has really done a great job with our move-in and our placement. My parents can't say enough good things about the nurses and PCAs there. They're very helpful, friendly, and professional. The facility is always clean. Their trash is taken out regularly, carpets are vacuumed, floors washed, beds are made. My parents tell me the food is excellent. I think it's a really good value.
