[name removed] was very thorough in her explanation of the services provided at the facility. She really seemed to enjoy working there & said her mother in law had lived there previously. Overall a nice place but on the higher end of similar sites.

I have a family friend who sent her elderly mother here to the memory care unit. The care was horrible. My friend came every day because she didn’t feel like the staff were looking after her mother properly. They said they would check on her x times per day- she set up cameras in her mother’s room and found none of this was true. She stayed overnight with her mom a couple times and woke up to find ALL OF THE NIGHT STAFF ASLEEP. One time her mother fell and was on the ground for 2 HOURS with no help. It is a smaller residence so you can quickly get to know the other people and it feels more like Home. My mother says the food is delicious, and again, I think that dedication of the staff is top-notch. I can't speak highly enough of the activities coordinator [name removed]. She is amazing, so dedicated to the residents.

Overall it was the best of the several that family members toured. The residential setting was a big draw v the others. Plus only 4 blocks from my home and my brother's. Friendly staff and great dining facility. Activities are constant and weekly field outings. Of course the cost of all these places is absurd, with pearl Street sort of in the middle.

My mother's biggest complaint is the food, that they run out of food often even basic things like the daily soup, potatoes, or ice cream or soda. the staff are exceptional, especially [name removed], the activities Director, she gives 110%. For the food, just not to constantly run out of things, they should know how many people are there, and some of these things are stable items like soda, certain, salad dressings, things that you would not run out of typically. The memory care unit at Pearl Street does not appear to be equipped to handle people who are entering the advanced stages of Alzheimer's or dementia. They promote the fact that someone can move into their assisted living and then continue out their time in memory care if needed. However my father eloped from their memory care unit and after an extended visit to the hospital to have his medications adjusted, they decided they would not allow him to come back so we had to find another place for him to live. The Residence at Pearl Street is a warm, welcoming facility... clean, comfortable in a lovely neighborhood. Has a range of activities and outings. The food is delicious! The staff works hard to please and care for all guests. Would definitely recommend it.
Our family was very mislead when it came to their capabilities of being able to handle our loved ones memory care. They were not able to meet the expectation's and they had no intention of being able to follow through with the promises they made us.
