Cancelled on us due to rain last year and told us to reskedual, then when we could get some time to go back it wasn't convenient for the rude lady in the office. I told her the situation and she got meaner then went on to tell us there was nothing she could do and our tickets have expired. So much for the magic I experienced as a child that I wanted to share. What a nightmare... this place has surely gone off track with customer service.

Business response:

Jason - We are so very sorry to read this review and comments. This is not how the Skunk Train treats its guests and we will address the matter at once.

VERY DISAPPOINTED !!! They show superb videos and description in the website and charge $26 per person. But the actual journey is just 25% of the route which they complete in less then an hour. The route is also not very scenic because you see lot of bushes rather than redwood trees. What they say at the booking counter is the ride will be VERY SCENIC which is exactly opposite to what you are gonna see. If you have family with kids, just visit the model museum and take some pictures with the train. If you want to see good ol... read more

Definitely disappointed, just as we got into the edge of the redwood forest,we stopped and went back, they could have discounted the price a little bit, don't waste your time unless you haven't ridden a train before

Save your money! For a 30 minute ride out and 30 min ride back (the same way) and just saw a swamp bushes and trees was not worth it. My kids that are ages 3&2 liked it but they love trains. For that kind of money I would of expected more. I would not recommend this ride to any of my family or friends.

Went 6-23-16. What a rip-off. Half hour ride on the train and back. Bartender told us that the tunnel caved in. What bullshit. Why sell tickets. What a waste of time.
