Get directionsMy parents moved to the Village three years ago due to Mom's care needs. They had done their homework checking out numerous places, and chose the Village. It was a good choice. I know the difference a good environment can make. My mother-in-law is in a different facility in the valley which is of constant concern. During 2020, the Village staff operated with utmost prudence and kept staff and residents safe. Even during shut down, the staff continued to have activities brought to each apartments (crafts, the Happy Hour cart... read more

Hello Dom, Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to share your feedback. I am very sorry for your loss and my condolences go out to you, your family, and your father for the loss of your mother. I am beyond pleased to hear how happy you and your father are with the community environment, activities, amenities, and especially the personalized care our team offers. I love that your father is taking advantage of those amazing pedicures at the spa. It's always great to learn that residents' family members are co... read more
I wanted to clarify that Heather P stated that things had improved after speaking with me. We did not speak. We took my mother out of the Villages due to lack of care. I will also note that Heather P wrote a 5 star review. She is or was in charge and her review should not be considered when looking at feedback. We have found a wonderful home for my mother and we are very glad we moved her out of the villages.

Hi Karla, thank you for sharing your concerns with me. Our community is CARF accredited because we put so much value on our services and care. We understand that our residents' need can change, and we offer the flexibility of being able to increase or decrease services as needed. I am glad that I have had the chance to talk with you. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me in the future should you have any questions. Sincerely, Heather Phillips Executive Director The Village at Ocotillo
I certainly appreciate the feedback from the manager and took it into consideration while delivering again yesterday. I had the misfortune to interact with Dee at the front desk again. Nothing has changed. Sadly, she still comes off as being grumpy. As the face of your business-the first person with whom one interacts upon entering your facility- she really does reflect poorly on your establishment IMO. Even after my last review, nothing has changed. I have nothing against this women personally, as I do not know her, but I t... read more

Hello E.E., As you know, the past year+ has been difficult for everyone, both personally and professionally, with the ever-changing stressors, demands, and changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. I'm sure you can appreciate the extra layer of precaution required by our staff to ensure the ongoing safety and well-being of our residents. The vigilance our team must take with any outside visitors, vendors, and deliveries, to mandate the use of masks and follow the CDC and health department guidelines, is of the utmost i... read more
We are very happy with the care and concern provided my mother-in-law at The Village-especially over the last few months. The place was locked down early to protect the residents from the virus. The staff is screened and no one is let in that doesn't work there. Very strict protocols were put in place early to keep everyone safe. The staff has gone above and beyond to help the residents not feel secluded or alone and they have done an exceptional job at communicating with family. This is a scary time especially for people in... read more
My 101 year old mother has been living at The Village for 7 years now. The staff and activities are wonderful. During this Covid-19 outbreak, they are doing everything they can to keep the residents safe and healthy. I feel very confident that mom is being watched after and cared for as if she was at home with us.
My family and I were devastated when we realized our mother had gotten to the point where living on her own would no longer be a viable option. As we considered viable options our primary concerns were the quality of care she would recieve and over all affordability. We considered several options but decided to move forward with The Villages at Ocotillo. We are very satisfied with the decision. My mother loves the facilities and the relationships she's built over the past few months with her new friends and the staff there. ... read more
I worked for The Village at Ocotillo for 2 years and found the company good to work for. They have tenured employees that work there because they genuinely care for the residents. The residents receive wonderful care from the caregivers and are offered a well rounded activity program with many options to keep them as active as they choose to be. The community is well established in the area and offers a very home-like environment that any resident would be lucky to call their home!
Cosmetically, its 5 star. Don't be fooled. My father lived here from the time he was 89 until 91.5. First, medication management was completely misrepresented. He was a diabetic, insulin management falls outside of "regular medication" management, extra charges for diabetic care. "House keeping" services were included in the cost, i recleaned his apartment every week. Floors were filthy, furniture not dusted. I visited him one night, there was a "mess" on the floor in the restroom. When i went back 2 days later, it was still... read more
This place is fine for a retirement home, but if your loved one need assisted living it leaves a lot to be desired. I would NOT recommend it for assisted living !! By the time we moved my mother she was covered in cuts and bruises from falling, they have a box to press for assistance so if you're not holding the box in your hand when you fall, you have no way of calling for help. With the amount of $$ they charge they should have a call button that is worn around their neck. The one nurse is very hard to get a hold of and if... read more
