My mother was admitted to the Weir Nursing Home in May 2026; she was there for palliative care as she was suffering from an aggressive cancer of the bowel. From the first day she arrived she was given excellent care and support; she was checked on regularly and the outstanding staff took time to chat and ask her about her family which she was very proud of. The Weir is a beautiful residence in a wonderful setting. The rooms are a very good size and very clean. The meals are excellent with a varied selection to choose from. The staff are very patient, professional and extremely helpful. Overall a wonderful Care Home
I am very happy my husband is in The Weir staff supper food exllent. Yes there are a few improvements to be made but overhall great.

My dad has been with you at The Weir for nearly two years. I'm very happy with the service provided. The staff are exceptional. Dad is very happy in the lovely surroundings. Thank you.
Dad has been in the Weir for just over 3 years now. It is clear he is well cared for he has an excellent relationship with the staff and has lots of opportunity to take part in various activities. The food is excellent and the communication between myself and them is always very good.
My mum has been there for over a month now and I have been so impressed with the care from all the staff. Everyone is warm, patient, kind, helpful and professional. Mums health had deteriorated very suddenly and rapidly but within a few weeks her physical health has hugely improved. The Weir has a lovely communal and family friendly feel-even pets are welcomed.
