Enjoy excellent food and very good service at this slightly off the main path Wantagh restaurant. Especially wonderful is the succulent Kung Pao Calamari, slightly hot Crispy Bang Bang Shrimp, Chef's Bento Box, Sesame Crusted Yellowfin Tuna, and Roasted Long Island Duck Breast served sliced and rare.
We tried Thom Thom for the first time during restaurant week. Everything my husband and I ordered was delicious. Sushi was really fresh and filet was cooked perfectly. My husband ate his entire lava cake and he is not a dessert kind of guy. Wait staff was attentive without being over bearing. We will definitely make a return visit.
This place has declined in quality over the years. Food was ok. One of the meals the duck was rare when the guest specifically asked for it medium. We understand restaurant was busy for restaurant week but the service was lacking as well. Mightbreturn to try one more time or might not.
25 minutes to get a drink after we were seated. While we were still having dessert they were looking for us to finish up and leave so they could have the table. Food was outstanding but the management and service was subpar.
We went for Restaurant Week with another couple. It was their 1st time and they cleaned their plates. While 3 of us ordered the steak dinner, the 4th had the double lamb chops ( not on the special). This was our third time going to this restaurant. We had friends visiting from out of town & took them here for dinner & we were all very pleased with the quality of the food, the good service & the nice ambience. It's definitely a very nice restaurant now on our favorite list!
We dined at Thom Thom during Restaurant Week and were completely satisfied! The selections on the special menu were vast and we didn't even venture into the regular menu. All of the food was presented beautifully and every bite tasted delicious. Our server was attentive and recognized that we were in no hurry so gave us time to chat. He was always nearby and took care of us in a professional yet friendly manner. I would definitely return! Great first impression.
We were greeted nicely when we came into restaurant.. Restaurant has a nice casual decor. We were seated promptly. Host approached us fairly quickly and said server would be with us shortly which he did. Took our wine order. A bit later approached us again and took appetizer and dinner order. WE WAITED 40 minutes for our salad and shrimp appetizer!!
