Needs an alt drum unit than the one the printer came with $$$ This did not come with the drum unit. I did not realize I needed a different drum unit for this toner cartridge than the one that came with the printer. I simply looked up which toner cartridge works for my printer. Unfortunately I already opened and tried to install before I realized this. The drum unit itself is over $70 on amazon.

Why fool around for a lousy thirty bucks? The OEM cartridge costs me four times what a third-prty cartridge costs. It then last three years and gives me 4,000 copies. Why bother with some gypo product from some third world cointry. Brother makes great printers... And supplies!
So far it was east to install, even for ... So far it was east to install, even for a grandma 71 yrs old. No problems with performance started printing right away and hasn't stopped at all.
Arrived in used condition No comments on the toner cartridge. I didn't use it because it arrived in used condition. Returned immediately. The package was opened (as was the silver envelope on the cartridge itself) and all the tabs and stickers you were supposed to remove before installing were already broken and/or removed and lying about inside the package.
