Dr. Susan Parry & Dr. Aysha Taff have just opened TORO PARK ANIMAL HOSPITAL. They are located in the same building as the recently closed Portola Animal Hospital. Currently remodeling, they feature all new equipment including digital Xrays. They also offer medically supervised boarding for your cats & dogs, including a dog exercise yard.
They charged almost $2,000 to pull a tooth out. Not to fix it, just to pull it out. Also, the guy at the front desk does not know how to secure your personal information. I provided my credit card number to him three times, yet somehow they still do not have my correct information on file. Go somewhere else, there are tons of excellent vet offices in Monterey County.

They dropped my cat's hard carrier on her when taking her out. My cat got scared and fell off the metal exam table. Making her even more scared. I should've left then but trusted they knew what they were doing. They tried to put a muzzle on her after that. My cat was even more scared and cried and screamed. The vet said she was aggressive and had to be sedated. I couldn't believe they escalated it like this. Super expensive. But you do not get what you pay extra for. They do not return phone calls. They gave mixed info and my dog had a litter--wait till first bleed on female and wait so male is 14 months for better bone strength. They will charge you a monthly fee regardless if you want to still go to them or not. Good luck getting them to call you back. Check around for cheaper cost for getting dogs fixed.

They charged $90 to trim my dog's nails and clean her ears. Rediculously expensive! They add a $20 technician fee and a $15 hazardous waste fee....for nails and cleaning ears?!?! What a joke. They overcharge to take advantage. They don't show you the price beforehand. They have you sign for services beforehand, but don't quote the price. Then, when it's done, gotchya billing at its best! In an effort to assist someone who could not afford treatment, I reached out to this vet to set up an appointment. I was told by Dani that I needed to pay a deposit over the phone in order to get an appointment. I have never heard of this. I feel that her response shows that the company's mission is to not help people and pets in need but to make money and weed out the undesirable clients. Very inhumane.

Very frustrating that they would not refill my dogs flea medication until they saw her even with an appointment on the schedule ( the soonest THEY could see her) The front desk girl (she never gave her name) was unwilling to help or even ask the vet for approval. My dog had an exam just over a year ago and still they need an updated exam.... Seems like that's about money and nothing else. Lexi is four months past due for her annual exam and we do want to ensure both her health and safety prior to prescribing any medications. I brought my new rescue corgi to this business to get her an initial health exam and any additional vaccines that she was not up to date on. We received an exam and 2 additional vaccines (all good so far). They sold me a years supply of Bravecto (flea and tick Rx) that my dog had never taken. I gave her 1 dose 2 days after getting vaccines to be sure there was no reaction to the 2 vaccines. She ended up having a bad reaction to the drug after eating only a portion of the dose.
