Do not use this vet. They charge you for services not asked for. I took my cat in for an ear infection, ended up with a micro chip and vaccinations that I did not ask for and had told them that I already had scheduled through the SPCA. They said it wasn't in their notes, despite me stating so when I made the appointment and therefore it's "my fault" that they rendered services that I didn't ask for. What should have been a $150 visit for the exam and ear cleaning turned into $200 plus a $50 monthly fee for "kittens" which tu... read more

I apologize that you are upset with the outcome of your visit with us this afternoon. We explained the treatment plan to your husband as well as the services offered through our all inclusive one year preventative care plan for your kitten and your husband signed up for the plan. Obviously there was a miscommunication and after the appointment was complete and treatments were given, you made us aware that you did not want these services. Unfortunately your husband had already approved these services. We were only trying to... read more
This place will oversell you on everything so watch out I had my dog stay in boarding there no longer then 3 months ago and I'm trying to buy him some heart worm to keep him healthy but this place wants him to get a test done just cause I missed one month of his heart worm this is ridiculous now I have to go to another vet and get a prescription very unsatisfied with this place they put money over the health of your pet don't waste your time money and peace going to Toro Park Animal Hospital it seems like the receptionist wo... read more

We apologize you did not have a good experience at our hospital recently. We are always happy to discuss your concerns further. We follow the recommendations of the American Heartworm Society regarding testing before restarting prevention. One of our doctors are happy to clarify any questions you may have regarding this standard of care.
I don't recommend this vet, very overpriced and the girls at the front desk have no customer service and are incompetent. Danielle was rude and not willing to work with me over the phone. Every time you walk into this place, it's some type of charge. Will be looking for a new vet that puts animals first over money.

We apologize you have not had a good experience at our hospital. We are always happy to address any concerns you may have directly.
I want to start off by saying that their services are over priced. Brought my 4 month old puppy because she had an ear infection (in both ears) paid a little over $200 for the first visit, on her follow up we found out she still had an ear infection in one ear and was charged over $100, and finally on the visit following that was only charged a little over $40 given that I had already paid close to $350. What I'm saying is, paying close to $400 for an ear infection does not seem like a reasonable price to me. Was also told b... read more

We appreciate your feedback regarding your visit back in July. It has always been our policy to provide a treatment plan outlining all expenses associated with an appointment prior to treatments to make sure there are no concerns with the cost of medical care for your pet. We would be happy to discuss this further if you would like to reach out to our practice manager any time. With regards to the comment made about puppy classes, I'm sure it was not the assistant's intention to offend and we apologize if it came across thi... read more
The grooming department is over priced and not competent. Took my cat there a couple years ago for nail clipping. They said she was upset and couldn't clip her nails but charged us anyway. Recently our regular vet office is busy and I made an appointment with Toro Park since they are close. Well, never again. They charge $56 vs $26 at a very nice vet office in north Salinas. They wanted to give our cat drugs to calm her down and charge us more. Well, if the cats all behave super calm like dead when getting their nails c... read more

Hi Fay - We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your appointment for your cat. After calling early this morning we were able to accommodate a same day appointment to address both shaving the requested areas as well as a nail trim for you today. We are always happy to provide an estimate of cost prior to services and apologize you did not understand the cost up front. This is the same cost you were charged the last time you came in in 2017 since there has been no price increases on these services. We are a Certifie... read more
This place does not honor the advertisement posted on their website regarding the first patients exam is free. After I had my 1st visit they told me I owe them for the exam because my pet came in with an allergy condition. They also made charges to my bank account in which I never signed or agreed too. They came in the room with a $420 Bill and asked me to choose what I could afford. They do not care about their patients or pets. I expressed to all staff that I had asked about the free exam when I first came into the office... read more

We are so sorry you were not satisfied with your visit. Our website does indicate that we honor a new client, new patient wellness visit for a checkup appointment at no charge. If the appointment is for any medical condition, there is an office visit fee. When we booked the appointment for you, you had specified a problem with your dog at that time. An estimate was provided to you during the appointment and our technician clearly stated there was a fee for the exam since there was a medical problem being evaluated by the doc... read more
I have debated several months if I should leave a review, but after seeing my regular vet and getting excellent service I couldn't let this go any longer. In Nov 2017 my regular groomer was out sick for a month. As my dog needs to be sedated to be groomed, I asked my Vet at Harden Ranch for a recommendation. They suggested Toro Park. I checked the website and reviews and decided to give it a try. They are even closer to my home so depending on how it went I was considering changing to this new service. The appointment was fo... read more
If I could give zero stars I would. This used to be a wonderful place to take my animals when Dr. Parry was there. Dr. Kaplan-Dau is a horrible person and vet. She is far from professional. She is condescending and loves to talk down to people. Not only are her prices overinflated,so is her ego. Basically this place has gone to hell. There are numerous other professional facilities that will treat you and your fur babies with the respect you deserve.
Brought my Australian shepherd infor a bath, trim of bum and legs .... when I picked him up his behind and back legs were shaved to bare skin!!!!!! Completely raw skin on his bottom . If you know Aussies which they do because their doctor owns them ! You know you never ever shave an Aussie !!!!!!! Front desk desire shrugged her shoulders at me like basically too bad . I paid over $80 for this service and receive a $30 credit back. They did not care of my concern . Aussies have a high chance of burning and they could have car... read more
