I would say that it's a good place and my mother is happy there. I wish there were slightly more interesting or stimulating activities. It is more of a bingo crowd, which is not quite her thing. We picked this community because of the affordability and very close to my house.

We give the Traditions of Dedham all 5 stars, and based on the experience we have had with them so far we would definitely recommend them to other families. Traditions of Dedham has really given us a peace of mind.

We're very happy with Traditions for mom. She is still adjusting, but also happy. I would highly recommend Traditions. The staff so friendly and knows the residents' names! Communication with the family is good. Housekeeping is good. The food is delicious.
Overall, from all reports it seems to be going very well. She seems happy, healthy and safe. She feels the care is good. My dad had some confusion about the medical care- but that could be him misunderstanding some things. The facility is very nice and we are happy so far. I am neither the health care proxy nor the POA- so my communication with staff is limited.

From the first day that we visited Traditions of Dedham my friends and I felt very comfortable. There was a very welcoming feeling to the place. She never hesitated to answer our many questions and even anticipated some of the things we should know. Pros) it's not a lock down place. It's like she has her apt and she can come and go and people can visit. Food is great. Always company available. Hair salon on site. Encouraging socialization. Cons) I was under the impression that some basic med needs would be handled but I guess not. She has to take eye drops for an upcoming surgery and her friends told me the facility is unable to assist. Our community does offer the SAMM program and your aunt is fully eligible for medication, eye drop, and CPAP machine reminders whenever she needs them. We chose this place because of the friendliness, reasonable cost, and it's nearby to where I live. My mother is starting out in independent living and she can stay in the same apartment if she needs assisted-living help in the future. Also, they invited her to have lunch with a current resident while we were looking so she could get a feel for it. They offer a wide variety of activities. The staff has a good attitude. Compared to other places, the general, positive and accomodating attitute is pretty rare.

We chose Traditions of Dedham for a 3 week respite stay for my mom. It was fabulous; although about half of the time she was there, they unfortunately had a Covid outbreak. They seemed to handle it all efficiently. They had all the residents tested, and quarantined those we needed to be isolated. It was an unfortunates experience, but thankfully my mom didn't get Covid.
