Ate here for lunch with visiting out of town relatives. Staff was warm and welcoming—offered me water while i waited and were very helpful and attentive throughout the meal. We shared the small plates appetizer selections—beautiful display, creative and delicious choices. Overall it was a wonderful experience—will definitely return.
It was great, food was fantastic, service was top notch, very crowded and the noise level was high but everyone was having a good time and the staff was great.
Staff was friendly and efficient. Food was very good. A little loud and tables close.
Had a wonderful meal with friendly attentive service. The four of us all ordered something different, and no one was disappointed. The chocolate mousse cannolis are to die for!!!
Still great after all these years! The overall experience delivered by this long time spot is warm, inviting and fun. Food is solid and some dishes excellent. Wait staff is professional and add to the fun. Prices are high but hey it’s Midtown!
We were hosting a diplomat prior to attending a concert at Carnegie Hall. The wait staff did a wonderful job of making sure we could be out the door in a timely fashion. One guest had the lobster risotto and raved about it, another had trout.... read more
If you want truly quality italian food with a level of service from the staff that you tend to just "not see these days", this is the place. Not just another copycat menu of chicken parm and calamari, but at the same time not so eclectic or pretentious that only refined eaters would enjoy. It's that perfect spot when you're looking for a high-quality high-service establishment for a date/birthday/valentines day/etc, yet dont want to book months in advance or have a menu full of bite sized food youve never heard of before. The menu has plenty of options and the food was phenomenal. The atmosphere was great. Unfortunately we had three business men sitting at the table next to us playing the 'one up' game the whole time they were there, but once they left it was much quieter and more enjoyable.
Valentines Day at Trattoria used to be something special with special treats brought around to the tables. Chocolates covered strawberries, cookies, etc.. Those days appear to be gone. Too bad. Food is still good and service is still slow. Still worth it but maybe not as much.
