I was disappointed in the quality of the food and service. This was once one of my favorite places. But now it caters to tourists and as a result has decided it no longer has to strive for excellence
It was Christmas Eve they were packed ... the food and service were amazing how busy they were!!!
We tried Redeye Grill but it was closed for renovations. Owned by the same owners' group, we were recommended to Trattoria Dell'Arte. We have been here before and have enjoyed our food and experience. It was Xmas week so the town was crowded and Carnegie Hall had a short concert going on so maybe Trattoria Dell'Arte squeezed a few more tables into the dining areas, but the fit was pretty tight-maybe too tight. Great, friendly service, nice atmosphere. The food was okay but not spectacular. The vegetable plate was $22 for 3 very small vegetable servings which seemed outrageous, especially since two of the 3 veggies were just simply cooked. Had to send it back to the kitchen because it came cold the first time.
The Food is outstanding - exceeded our expectations!
We had a party of 8 on Christmas Day. Two of my party are vegan/gluten free and I myself have Celiac Disease so I am strict gluten free. Our server Winston was absolutely amazing. He was very knowledgeable on both the Vegan and Gluten issues and everyone had an amazing Christmas Dinner!! The Grey Goose drinks and wine was all excellent. The gluten free cannolis made with almond flour were such a treat for me since I have not had one in 5 years. Food was just ok. Nothing special. Restaurant staff were very nice..
Food was good. Dessert, especially the cannolis, was delicious. Service pre-Carnegie Hall event, was quick and great.
The noise level was quite high but besides that it was perfect! Pretty restaurant, friendly stuff and aaabsolutely delicious food. It's worth it's price!! I don't need to say more. Go there and experience it yourself! I'd go there again right away!!
