Love the food. Not in love with the waiter. Ignored us for a long while. Took forever to get our entree, but food was great. Will return & ask for different waiter & quieter table. Had headache at end of evening

Bottom line excellent food and service. I will be coming back again with my family. The portions are generous and food very tasty
I've known this restaurant for a great many years, dating back to when I worked in NYC in the 1990s. But this visit, my first in a couple of years, was a disappointment. The menu seemed unimaginative and tired. The prices were high, as always, but not good value. Service was fine, but the food was just ordinary and thus the evening wasn't what I had hoped it would be.
We were a group of ten attending a Carnegie Hall event with a 7 pm curtain. Having been to Trattoria many times and always loving it, I made the arrangements. We were well and timely taken care of. The host was welcoming, the waiter was friendly and efficient and the food and drinks, as always, was excellent. In short, this is a well-run, professional operation with top-notch Italian fare at fair prices.
