It was a first visit to NYC & this restaurant was highly recommended by 2 friends. The food was excellent, but it was extremely loud. Not conducive to conversation! That aside, it was a lively Atmosphere & seemed to have a lot of return patrons that knew the servers & the management. Very crowded which Is always a good sign.

Tratoria is across 7th Ave from Carnegie Hall and my usual dining spot when I go there. It is definitely Italian and I always have the Veal Scallopini which is excellent, but the menu is quite comprehensive and should meet most tastes. Food is fresh and well prepared, service efficient, will get you out on time. Place is very busy in early eve but you can still have a conversation without shouting.

I visit Trattoria Dell’Arte everybody time I’m in the city 4-5 times a year. It’s one of my favorites. Amazing anti pasta bar. Delicious pizza. Good wine selection.

Love everything about it! From Brandon to our lovely waitress! The chicken Parmesan and carbonara are the best! Feels like home

Excellent Food and even more spectacular deserts - The Antipasto table is interesting and a good value - We had the vegetarian ossobuco and seafood pappardelle which were delicious. The waitstaff and maître d were very polite and friendly - they went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our dinner! Not sure if this was a fluke but there seem to be quite a few Italians working in the place - these days that's a good sign in my opinion! We had the Tiramisu and sampled several of their other deserts as well - all were top... read more

Great food but overwhelmed with unexpected crowd. Service was bad. Staff apologized repeatedly but didn’t make up for the bad service. But food especially appetizer bar was very good.
