We were seated upstairs where there were too many tables for the one waiter to cover.
We were greeted with a warm smile by the host. He was very pleasant and showed us to our table. The waiter appeared shortly after with the same warm smile. The food was wonderful from the vegetable appetizers to the home made terrimisu. This was our second time here and I am sure we will be deck again

The food is classic red-sauce Italian for the most part, very well done. There's a comfortable hustle-and-bustle vibe, good service, and tasty food all around. Excellent for pre / post theater or music (Carnegie Hall across the street).
The food was amazing, and the servers were friendly; the restaurant was FREEZING! We ate there Oct. 9th. We had surprised my 70 y.o. grandmother with dinner and unfortunately the restaurant was so cold, and we had such a draft (or A.C. wind) blowing on us all the whole meal, we all had to eat with jackets on - my grandmother had a winter coat, hat and scarf on and she was still freezing. We noticed that at the tables around us everyone else was eating with heavy jackets on as well.
Very warm and friendly atmosphere and staff. Wonderful antipasto offerings. Food was excellent and portions were generous. Noise level was high but overall atmosphere was lively and energetic. Will definitely go back.
My experience was my best yet. I frequent when in the city for Carnegie Hall concerts. I had a tough commute form NJ, and the host immediately brought complimentary prosecco to my table...much needed! Furthermore, he was so chatty and friendly, as I am, and I was prepared to enjoy my evening thoroughly. My waiter was fabulous helping us choose, and I am looking forward to returning.. thank you!
Food was tasty and good variety of choices. The service was nice and never intrusive. Wine list balances with price and variety. Great evening overall.
It has been many years since the last time we had dinner at Dell'Arte. Noise level was a bit too energetic for us. A little difficult to hear my wife across the table. My wife is gluten free so the zucchini/squash spaghetti was a welcome offering to see on the menu and she thoroughly enjoyed it.
